FAQ – Stay at Clos Delamare

Where is Clos Delamare located?
Clos Delamare is located in La Poterie-Cap-d'Antifer, a village in Normandy about 5 km from Étretat, between the sea and the countryside. This location allows you to enjoy the Alabaster Coast while staying in a peaceful setting.

Is it far from Étretat?
No. Étretat, its cliffs and beaches are just a few minutes away by car or bus. It is also possible to reach the coast on foot, particularly via the cliffs.

Which beaches are near Clos Delamare?
The sea is about 2 km from Clos Delamare. Tilleul beach is about 4 km away. The nearest supervised beach is Saint-Jouin-Bruneval, located about 5 km away, which is particularly popular with families.

Is it quiet, even in summer?
Yes. Clos Delamare is located in a peaceful village with no nightlife. It remains quiet, even in high season.

Is the orchard private?
No. The orchard is a shared space for residents of Clos Delamare, to be enjoyed in a calm and respectful manner.

Is the property enclosed?
Yes. The property is completely enclosed, allowing children to play outside in complete safety.

Do you accept pets?
Yes, dogs and cats are welcome at Clos Delamare.

Is there an extra charge for pets?
No. We welcome your four-legged friends free of charge — they are part of the family.

Are the cottages suitable for families with children?
Yes. The cottages are suitable for families. Baby equipment (travel cot, high chair, bath, etc.) is available.

Is it suitable for groups?
Yes. La Moussette is suitable for large families or small groups, in a peaceful setting.

Is it a place to party?
No. Le Clos Delamare is not a party venue. We are happy to welcome groups wishing to celebrate a birthday or hen party in a calm and respectful spirit, but we do not wish to host large, noisy parties.
Respect for the peace and quiet of the neighbourhood is part of the spirit of the place.

When do I have to pay?
A deposit of 25% of the total amount is required at the time of booking. The balance is payable on the day of your arrival.

Do you accept holiday vouchers?
Yes, holiday vouchers are accepted.

What are the cancellation terms?

Like many aspects of a stay at Clos Delamare, our cancellation policy is also based on a relationship of trust. We are well aware that people do not cancel a stay for the sake of it, but because something unexpected has come up. From our perspective, a blocked booking also means that the gîte could not be offered to other guests.

In the event of cancellation within 7 days of arrival, or in the event of a no-show, no refund will be given.

If your stay is cut short after your arrival, the full rental price remains payable.

However, in the event of force majeure (e.g. hospitalisation, death of a relative, lockdown or travel restrictions due to a health crisis), we undertake to refund the deposit in full.

Is there a deposit?
No. Our philosophy is to welcome you with trust.

Are bed linen and towels provided?
Yes. Bed linen and towels are provided, as well as household linen (tea towels, hand towels).
The beds are made on arrival.

Is cleaning included?
Yes, cleaning is included.

Are there any additional charges?
No. Only the tourist tax is payable at the time of booking.
No surprises on arrival.

Can La Clozette and La Moussette be rented at the same time?
Yes, you just need to book in advance. We can then accommodate a group of 17 people at Clos Delamare.

Are La Moussette, La Petite Moussette and La Mini Moussette different houses?
No. They are the same holiday home, offered in different configurations depending on the time of year, length of stay and number of guests.
La Moussette: full configuration, open all year round.
La Petite Moussette: same cottage, with a smaller surface area, available at certain times of the year.
La Mini Moussette: more compact version, available on an ad hoc basis, particularly during the week or at the last minute.

Whichever configuration you choose, the cottage is always reserved for your private use.

Can I choose the configuration myself?
The configurations offered depend on the period and availability.
If you have any doubts, please do not hesitate to contact us to check which configuration is best suited to your stay.

Are La Clozette and La Moussette independent?
Yes. The two cottages are independent, with their own living spaces.
Depending on the cottage you choose, you will have clearly defined private spaces.
